  • Statutory Planning consider the way land is used and developed, and how this impacts the character and liveability of South Gippsland.
  • Council's Building team consider the location and construction of any buildings or structures on the land. Most building work will require a building permit to be issued before work begins. Building permits are issued by Building Surveyors.
  • Council’s Strategic Planning team consider the future of the region and prepare plans and strategies to guide how land is used and developed. Key outcomes are implemented through planning scheme amendements.
