Create an Emergency Plan
Start by considering the important decisions you might need to make if faced with an emergency and write these down. You could even have a copy of all your important documents in a special 'grab bag'. After you have created your plan, make sure the people around you understand the plan and know their role in an emergency. This might even include people outside of your household such as your neighbours and local community groups.

An Emergency Information sheet has been prepared by Council to help with the development of your Emergency Plan. It contains contact information and other useful prompts to help you develop your own plan.
