South Gippsland Shire Council Customer Data not impacted by OracleCMS data breach

South Gippsland Shire Council has been notified of a data breach of OracleCMS, the contractor that operates Council’s after-hours phone service. While OracleCMS and government agencies are still investigating the breach, we have been advised that so far South Gippsland Shire Council’s customer data has not been compromised.

OracleCMS is working with government authorities to investigate the incident and have advised they have taken immediate action to prevent further breaches. Council will keep customers updated with additional information as we receive it, via a dedicated web page: www.southgippsland.vic.gov.au/oraclecms
