What to Expect
Participants will learn how to create objects in clay that tell the stories of gatherings around the table; the everyday, the celebrations and the social events that bring people together.
Together we will 'lay a table' of these pieces in a collaborative artwork for the community to experience.
At the end of the project, each participant can choose to have one piece fired as a lasting momento.

Artist - Kate Stuart
Kate's own arts practice intertwines with her work as a community artist and teacher. Leading workshops where others can explore their ideas and learn artmaking skills in turn stimulates and extends her own artmaking. She has worked with communities in Melbourne's east and the Mornington Peninsula to create collaborative public artworks. Kate primarily works in clay to create function and sculptural objects influenced by the colours and atmosphere of the coastal environment she lives in.
