Families living outside of the South Gippsland Shire are welcome to register for kindergartens in South Gippsland. However, these registrations are not processed until after the second round offers have been accepted, unless the closest kindergarten to your place of residence is in the South Gippsland Shire. This ensures that all children living in South Gippsland have access to a kindergarten place.

South Gippsland Shire Council uses the Find A Kinder tool to determine a family's closest kindergarten.
