Planning Scheme Amendments - Amendment C119sgip

Amendment C119sgip proposes to update the Erosion Management Overlay Schedule 1. It does this by replacing the existing mapped areas of Environmental Significance Overlay Schedule 5 with the Erosion Management Overlay Schedule 1 to protect areas susceptible to erosion.

The amendment aims to improve erosion controls so that planning permits are required where erosion is more likely and not required where there is a low risk.

This amendment was approved at the Ordinary Council Meeting on Wednesday 17 April 2024. You can view the Meeting Minutes and copies of the submissions here.

The amendment was approved by the Minister and gazetted on the 14 August 2024.

This amendment has now been incorporated into the South Gippsland Planning Scheme and will be considered for any relevant planning permit assessment and decision.
